The Unbreakable Jets defeat Hyderabad Heroes by 26 runs

In the 15th match of the ICL 50s being played at Lahari Resorts-Hyderabad, Delhi Jets defeated Hyderabad Heroes by 26 runs. Delhi Jets skipper J.P. Yadav won the toss and elected to bat. Skipper J.P Yadav of Delhi Jets was declared man of the match for his brilliant 101 of 98 balls.

The Delhi Jets put up a good show inspite of losing its 1st wicket in the first over in the name of Sachin Dholpure. Followed by Abhinav Bali and opener Mohnish Mishra who put up 82 run partnership for the second wicket, as both the batsman scored 43 runs each. Skipper J.P Yadav and Abbas Ali then put on a 146 run partnership. J.P Yadav went off to score a memorable century of 98 balls which included 10 fours and 1 six. Abbas Ali gave him good support and scored 78 runs of 87 balls including 5 fours and 2 sixes. The tailenders didn't contribute much and the Jets made a mighty 321 runs for 8 in their quota of 50 overs. There is nothing much to talk about the Heroes bowling as the Jets almost snuffed out the bowlers. Kaushik Reddy took 2 wickets and gave away 67 runs in 9 overs.

In reply, the Heroes batsmen were off to a flying start. Opener Shashank Nag scored a brilliant 104 runs of 90 balls which included 12 fours and 2 sixes. He along with left-hand batsman P.S. Niranjan had a 173 runs partnership for the 1st wicket, but the middle order collapsed like a pack of cards. The only support came in was in the mane of Shahbuddin who scored 46 runs and extras 33. The Heroes managed to score 295 in 50 overs. From the Jets, Abhishek Tamarkar took 4 wickets for 60 runs.

With this win, the Jets continued to show their great run in the tournament. In this entire tournament the team has stood out distinctively in all aspects of the game. Without losing a single match, the Jets ensured that they were the only team who truly deserved to play in the finals.
